Senior Server Programmer
The Sr. Server Programmer is a key member of the engineering team in Central Studio. In addition to the typical duties of a server programmer, this role entails high level responsibilities which may include international travel and participation in strategic business planning. We’re looking for a highly talented individual who is excited by the opportunity to create new business properties. Qualified candidates are disciplined, professional and comfortable with a constant flow of new work.

Primary Responsibilities
- Convert ideas into fully polished and functioning game systems
- Design and create new features
- Polish and tune existing features
- Develop software to run on Linux, Windows and consoles using C++
- Design and build the database backend for game and support systems
- Write technical design documents for features as needed
- Document and comment your work for future developers
- Participate in game play-testing and provide feedback
- Work with all types of development staff
- Participate in project scheduling
Qualification Requirements
- Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience
- Fluent in C++ (3+ years)
- Experience working with networked applications
- Database development experience, preferably Oracle & MySQL
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team
- Self motivated
- Passion for games
- Commitment to quality
- Working knowledge of Massively Multiplayer games
A highly qualified applicant will also have
- Working knowledge of console development.
- Experience with other database platforms (SQL Server, Postgres, etc).
- Working with ODBC or OTL is a plus
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Lua, UnrealScript, JavaScript…
- Credit on a shipped game
- Experience on more than one platform
- Experience with Unreal and related tools
- Familiarity with Scrum
